Job summary

Wasco AgroTech Sdn Bhd in Selangor is seeking a skilled machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. You will receive work orders, prepare materials, tools, and machines, and perform conventional machining according to drawings.

Responsibilities include operating conventional lathe machines, milling, basic inspection, and ensuring tools and machines are calibrated and maintained. The role requires reading technical drawings and working independently with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating conventional lathe machines.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive Work Orders, raw materials, and drawings for items to be produced.
• Prepare the required materials, tools, and machines for conventional machining.
• Ensure measuring and cutting tools are calibrated and in good working condition.
• Perform conventional machining operations, including lathe and milling, according to drawings.
• Conduct basic inspection and measurement to ensure machined parts meet specifications.
• Assist in periodic machine maintenance and servicing.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing machines in case of breakdowns.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of machines, tools, and work areas.
• Perform other tasks assigned by superior/management.

Receive Work Orders, raw materials, and drawings for items to be produced.

Prepare the required materials, tools, and machines for conventional machining.

Ensure measuring and cutting tools are properly calibrated and in good working condition.

Perform conventional machining operations, including lathe and milling, according to drawing specifications.

Conduct basic inspection and measurement to ensure machined parts meet required specifications.

Assist in periodic machine maintenance and servicing.

Assist in troubleshooting and repairing machines in the event of breakdowns.

Ensure proper upkeep, cleanliness, and condition of machines, tools, and work areas.

Perform any other tasks or activities assigned by the superior/management from time to time.

Requirements:

Possess at least Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3, SPM or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in a similar position.

Hands‑on experience in operating conventional lathe machines.

Able to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.

Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Good attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsible, disciplined, and willing to learn.
