Job summary

Altus Engineering & Trading is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in Penang. You will set up and operate CNC machines, interpret engineering drawings, and ensure parts meet exact specifications.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and mentoring junior staff, with a focus on safety and continuous process improvement. Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–5:45 PM, on-site at our Penang facility.

Qualifications

• SPM qualification or equivalent; minimum 5 years in machining.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent problem-solving with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines for precision machining.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Inspect and measure finished products to meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machinery and programs.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Train and mentor junior machinists and operators.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to optimize processes.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment following safety procedures.
• Continuously improve machining techniques to boost productivity and quality.
