Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of CNC machinists and operators.
Conduct regular training on machine setups, programming basics (e.g., G-code, Mastercam), and proper safety protocols.
Assign daily tasks, manage work schedules, and delegate responsibilities to maximize shop floor efficiency.
Production & OperationsMonitor machine performance, tool life, and cycle times to optimize output and reduce scrap rates.
Collaborate with production planning to execute manufacturing schedules and hit on-time delivery targets.
Oversee the setup and operation of CNC milling, turning, and grinding machines, ensuring they meet exact engineering specifications
Quality Assurance & TroubleshootingEnforce quality control procedures (e.g., using micrometers, calipers, and CMM) to verify parts conform to blueprints and tolerances.
Troubleshoot mechanical or programming issues and facilitate timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
Investigate the root cause of non-conforming parts and implement corrective actions.
Safety & ComplianceMaintain a clean, safe, and highly operational work environment by enforcing OSHA, local regulatory, and internal company safety guidelines.
Lead and promote 5S methodologies and continuous improvement projects (Lean/Six Sigma).
Requirements: Education: Diploma or Cert in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, Machining, or a related technical discipline Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on CNC machining (3, 4, or 5-axis) experience, including at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and knowledge of CNC programming/simulation software (e.g., Mastercam, G-code). Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional organizational and time management skills, and clear communication capabilities.
