The Machining Instructor Team Leader – is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading training programs to enhance the technical skills and competencies of CNC machinists. This role involves managing a team of trainers, conducting skill assessments, and developing tailored training roadmaps to support continuous workforce development and operational excellence.

Skill Assessment & Development:
  • Conduct regular skill assessments and evaluations for machinists to identify development needs.
  • Maintain detailed records of assessment results and track employee progress over time.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and HR to plan individual development paths and upskilling initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with production supervisors, quality, and engineering teams to align training with operational requirements.
  • Support onboarding and orientation for new hired Production team.
Performance Monitoring:
  • Track the effectiveness of training programs through measurable KPIs (e.g., productivity, quality, scrap rate).
  • Provide regular training reports and improvement recommendations to the Production Manager.
Preferred Qualification:
  • Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
  • Proven experience in CNC machining with strong technical knowledge of CNC machines, tools, and machining processes. At least 5 years of working experience in CNC manufacturing industry.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory, lead trainer, or similar leadership role.
  • Experience designing and delivering training in a manufacturing or technical environment.
  • Familiarity with skill assessment frameworks and training management systems is an advantage.
  • Possess good communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in documentation and reporting
  • Certified as a technical trainer.
  • Certified in specific machineries and technologies.
