Job summary

SOGO Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine checks, preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair M&E equipment in-store.

You will also maintain the Fire Protection System, fix minor plumbing, and prepare service reports while assisting OSHA activities. Reporting to Maintenance Executive and Store Manager, the role requires retail-hour work including weekends and public holidays, with a tentative start in October 2026.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years working experience as a Technician preferably in a Shopping Complex environment.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing and repairing works.
• Able to work under pressure and in a fast pace environment.
• Independent, reliable with high integrity and takes initiative.
• Able to work on retail hours, weekends & public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine check and daily preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs for M&E equipment to ensure the store system is properly functioning and maintained.
• Maintain and understand the Fire Protection System which includes roller shutter and emergency evacuation control.
• Maintain and perform minor plumbing repairs when necessary.
• Must be able to produce M&E service reports for reporting purposes and assist in OSHA activities.
• Reporting to Maintenance Executive and Store Manager.
