Role Description

The M&E QAQC Engineer is a contract, on-site role based in Seri Manjung, responsible for ensuring the mechanical and electrical work for renewable energy projects meets company standards, industry codes, and client requirements. The role includes performing quality inspections and tests on M&E installations, reviewing technical drawings and specifications, and verifying compliance with design, safety, and performance criteria. The engineer will prepare and maintain QAQC documentation, including inspection reports, test records, non-conformance reports, and method statements, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions. Day-to-day activities also involve coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and contractors, monitoring construction and installation activities, and participating in commissioning and handover processes. The M&E QAQC Engineer will help drive continuous improvement in site quality practices and contribute to safe, reliable, and efficient project delivery.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge, including familiarity with power systems, renewable energy equipment, and construction methods.
• Candidates should possess QAQC-related skills such as inspection and testing procedures, documentation and reporting, non-conformance management, and understanding of relevant codes and standards.
• Candidates should possess project execution skills, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams, contractor oversight, schedule awareness, and attention to detail on site activities.
• Candidates should possess health, safety, and environmental awareness, with the ability to apply safe work practices and comply with local regulations and company policies.
• Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with site teams and stakeholders and report findings clearly.
• Candidates should possess good problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose practical solutions, and support continuous improvement.
• A diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field is preferred; experience in solar or other renewable energy projects and QAQC roles will be an advantage.
