Job summary

BigHire is seeking an M&E Project Engineer to manage the full cycle of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and firefighting services for an industrial facility in Rawang, Selangor. You will coordinate with local authorities such as TNB, JBA and BOMBA to secure inspections and handover.

The role requires robust field coordination experience and strong communication in Chinese and English to lead localized sub-teams and report to project leadership.

Qualifications

• Industry Experience: Proven M&E site coordination history on Malaysian industrial factories or commercial high-rise projects.
• Technical Standards: Thorough knowledge of M&E embedding procedures, systems commissioning, and local building codes/BOMBA regulations.
• Languages: Effective communication in Chinese and English to smoothly direct localized sub-teams and report to project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Site Management: Direct on-site operations for plumbing, electrical systems (high/low voltage), firefighting systems, HVAC, and M&E embedments.
• Authority Liaison: Coordinate with local M&E subcontractors, fire consultants, and statutory boards including TNB, JBA, and BOMBA for reviews, testing, and approvals.
• Quality Control: Supervise M&E installation sequences, track project timelines, structural safety, trade coordination, and inspections.
• Testing & Handover: Oversee shop drawing detail enhancements, sample sign-offs, systems testing, balancing, commissioning, and compilation of final operation handbooks.
