Job summary

CREST BUILDER HOLDINGS BERHAD is seeking a detail-oriented M&E Tendering Engineer to review and analyse tender documents, drawings, specifications, BQ and contract requirements for civil projects in Malaysia.

You will prepare M&E cost estimates, take-offs, submit tenders, evaluate quotations from subcontractors and coordinate with QS, Estimating and Project teams to ensure competitive pricing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, M&E Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in M&E tendering, estimating, construction or consultancy.
• Experience in building construction / infrastructure projects will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of M&E systems, construction methods, drawings and specifications.
• Able to interpret M&E drawings, BQ and technical specifications.
• Good understanding of cost estimation, quantity take-off and subcontractor/vendor quotation evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyse M&E tender documents, drawings, specifications, BQ and contract requirements.
• Study M&E scope including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV and other related systems.
• Prepare detailed M&E cost estimates, quantity take-offs and tender pricing.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from M&E subcontractors, suppliers and vendors.
• Prepare tender comparison sheets and evaluate subcontractor/vendor quotations.
• Coordinate with the QS, Estimating, Contracts, Procurement and Project teams to ensure accurate tender pricing.
• Attend tender briefings, site visits and clarification meetings when required.
• Raise technical and commercial queries to consultants/clients and follow up on responses.
• Identify technical requirements, exclusions, assumptions, risks and potential cost implications in tender documents.
• Assist in preparing tender submissions, technical proposals, method statements and supporting documents.
• Review and verify M&E design requirements against tender specifications and drawings.
• Liaise with consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to clarify technical requirements and obtain competitive quotations.
• Assist in value engineering and propose cost-effective M&E solutions where applicable.
• Maintain proper records of tender documents, quotations, estimates and correspondence.
• Monitor tender deadlines and ensure submissions are completed accurately and on time.
• Support post-tender clarification, negotiation and pricing revision when required.
• Perform other duties related to tendering and pre-contract activities as assigned by management.

Job Requirement:
