Job summary

YUTEL CONSTRUCTION DEVELOPMENT SDN BHD is seeking an experienced M&E Engineer / Project Management professional to join our Selangor team. The role involves managing mechanical and electrical projects from inception to completion, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers, and ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to specification.

You will conduct site inspections, review technical documentation, monitor progress and uphold safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Fluent in Mandarin to communicate with Chinese-speaking clients and site personnel.
• 1–3 years’ experience in M&E or project management in construction/engineering.
• Ability to plan, schedule and coordinate using relevant software.
• Knowledge of M&E systems, building services and construction principles.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisation, problem solving and attention to detail.
• Awareness of safety, health and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate M&E projects to meet budgets and timelines.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers for smooth information flow.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions.

YUTEL CONSTRUCTION DEVELOPMENT SDN BHD – Selangor

We are seeking an experienced M&E Engineer / Project Management to join our team in Selangor.
In this full-time position, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating mechanical and electrical engineering projects from inception through to completion.
This role is strategically important to our organisation as it ensures the successful delivery of projects whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.
You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification.
This is an on-site role based in Selangor.

What you'll be doing

• Planning, scheduling and coordinating M&E engineering projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to project budgets
• Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers to facilitate effective project communication and information flow
• Monitoring project progress, identifying risks and implementing corrective measures to maintain project objectives
• Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, drawings, specifications and method statements
• Conducting site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards and quality requirements
• Managing project budgets, cost tracking and financial reporting to ensure cost-effective delivery
• Coordinating procurement activities including tendering, supplier evaluation and contract management
• Ensuring all works comply with relevant codes of practice, regulations and company policies
• Maintaining comprehensive project records, documentation and as-built drawings
• Supporting health, safety and environmental (HSE) initiatives on-site and reporting on project performance metrics

What we're looking for

• Priority: Fluent in Mandarin / Chinese (spoken and written) to effectively communicate with Chinese-speaking clients, contractors, and site personnel.
• Diploma or degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in M&E project engineering or project management within the construction or engineering sector.（Fresh grads are welcome to apply too)
• Demonstrated experience in project planning, scheduling and coordination using relevant software tools
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, building services and engineering principles applicable to construction projects
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and engineering documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements in construction and engineering projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant project management or CAD software
• Professional certification or membership with relevant engineering bodies (such as IEM or PEA) is advantageous
• Experience in cost management, budgeting and financial reporting is preferred
• Knowledge of local building codes, standards and regulations in Malaysia is beneficial
