Job summary

Pacificview Development Group Sdn Bhd in Forest City Johor is seeking an experienced M&E Engineer to join our on-site team for large-scale mechanical and electrical projects. You will design, implement and maintain M&E systems, collaborating with architects, contractors and engineers to ensure project success.

The role requires 3–5 years in M&E, strong CAD/BIM skills and knowledge of local building regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in M&E engineering, preferably in construction or property development.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems design, installation and maintenance.
• Proficiency in CAD and BIM tools.
• Familiarity with Malaysian building regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and oversee the implementation of mechanical and electrical systems for building projects and installations.
• Conduct detailed technical assessments and feasibility studies for M&E systems and components.
• Prepare comprehensive technical specifications, drawings and documentation in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and other engineering professionals to ensure seamless project integration and execution.
• Monitor and supervise on-site installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections and troubleshoot system failures to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations, building codes and environmental standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and site personnel.
• Maintain accurate project records and prepare progress reports for project management teams.

About the role

Pacificview Development Group Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced M&E Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This position is based in Forest City Johor and offers an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale mechanical and electrical projects within a dynamic and growing organisation. As an M&E Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems that are fundamental to our operations. This role offers the chance to contribute to significant infrastructure projects whilst developing your expertise in electrical and electronic engineering within a professional and innovative environment.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognised institution
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in mechanical and electrical engineering, preferably in construction, property development or industrial sectors
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems design, installation and maintenance practices
• Proficiency in relevant computer-aided design (CAD) software and building information modelling (BIM) tools
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing and fire safety systems
• Familiarity with Malaysian building regulations, codes and standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with multidisciplinary teams
• Professional engineering registration or willingness to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) status
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards
