Job summary

Hunza Group in Ipoh, Malaysia, seeks a Senior M&E Site Engineer to oversee mechanical and electrical works on high-rise and commercial developments.

You will provide design input, supervision, coordination, monitoring at site, witness M&E tests, ensure compliance with drawings and specs, and enforce safety.

Candidates should have a Diploma in Engineering and 7–10 years of relevant experience; Mandarin proficiency and strong AutoCAD/MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic) or equivalent.
• Ability to multitask and coordinate M&E matters on site.

Responsibilities

• Provide design input, supervision, coordination and monitoring to site construction activities for M&E works.
• Witness M&E tests and document test records; perform quality checks on subcontractor works.
• Ensure M&E works comply with consultant drawings and specifications; uphold quality standards.
• Ensure subcontractors and workers observe site safety rules and requirements.
• Coordinate with M&E consultant and subcontractors to resolve site issues and maintain progress per schedule.

Job description

• To provide design input, supervision, co-ordination, and monitoring to the site construction activities carried out for all project development, specifically in mechanical & electrical works.
• To assist in witnessing various M&E tests, documentation of test records and quality checking on the subcontractor’s day-to-day works at the site.
• Ensure that all M&E works are strictly carried out in accordance to Consultant’s drawings and specifications, and making sure quality standards are achieved.
• Ensure the M&E subcontractor’s workers’ observe and adhere to all site safety rules and requirements.
• Coordinate with M&E Consultant, and subcontractors to resolve site issues and making sure works are able to progress smoothly as per schedule.
• Carry out any other job tasks/ assignments as and when requested by Senior Management, Department Head or direct superior.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic) or equivalent.
• At least 7-10 years of working experience in the related field, such as high rise and commercial development is required for this position.
• Required language(s): English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Able to multitask and coordinate on various M&E matters.
• Required Skill(s): AutoCad, MS Office.
• Preferably Senior Executive specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
