Job summary

Cultivar Asia is seeking a highly skilled M&E Design Engineer in Malaysia to join the team. The role focuses on designing electrical, HVAC, air conditioning, and fire protection systems, with emphasis on CAD-based drawings and compliance with local codes.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of M&E design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and strong communication skills to collaborate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred but not mandatory.
• 3–5 years of experience in M&E design, preferably in Malaysia.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other design tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for electrical, HVAC, air conditioning, and fire protection systems.
• Utilize CAD software to create precise design drawings and layouts.
• Ensure designs comply with local regulations, standards and codes.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers for integrated delivery.
• Review and approve design documents and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to implement designs.
• Provide technical guidance during design and construction phases.
• Conduct site visits to ensure correct implementation and quality.
• Identify and resolve design-related issues or discrepancies.
• Prepare documentation including calculations, specifications and reports.
• Maintain up-to-date project documentation reflecting current status.
• Present design concepts and progress to clients and stakeholders.
