Job summary

Desa Southern Agency Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks an on-site Full-time Driver to transport goods according to delivery schedules and maintain safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, route planning, verifying orders and addresses, and maintaining records. The role requires 3 years of transport experience, a valid GDL license, and proficiency in Bahasa Melayu, English or Mandarin. Travel up to 100% may be required.

Qualifications

• Delivery experience in transportation, preferred.
• GDL license preferred.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu, English or Mandarin.
• STM/STPM or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Operate company-owned or leased lorries to transport goods to customers according to the delivery schedule.
• Ensure quality and quantity of the goods before delivery.
• Load and unload goods, secure load and proper weight distribution.
• Verify goods match delivery order and correct delivery address.
• Plan efficient routes considering traffic and delivery requirements.
• Comply with traffic laws, vehicle maintenance, and report incidents.
• Inspect and maintain the lorry before and after each trip.
• Maintain mileage, fuel, and delivery records; report discrepancies.
• Communicate with customers and staff to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues.
• Provide professional customer service at all times.
• Follow driver instructions to ensure proper delivery.
