Job summary

I-CON TNS Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on general laborer with a valid Malaysian GDL license to support event production across venues and our store.

You will drive lorries, load and unload equipment, assist with stage construction, manage inventory, and coordinate with site teams, with OT paid when timelines demand.

No prior event experience required; on-the-job training provided, and candidates must be flexible, physically fit, and able to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• GDL license required (Malaysian driving license).
• Excellent physical stamina for daily manual labor.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and venues.
• Able to work well in a team and take direction from site supervisors.
• Willingness to work overtime; OT pay will apply.
• No prior event production experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Job Responsibilities

• Driving: Safely operate and drive the company lorry to transport equipment, staging materials, and structures to and from event venues and the store.

• Loading & Unloading: Securely load and unload heavy equipment, aluminum trusses, and staging materials from trucks and lorries.

• Stage & Structure Support: Assist the site crew with setting up, assembling, and breaking down event equipment, including building stage platforms and structures.

• Inventory & Maintenance: Assist in receiving, moving, sorting, and properly storing equipment to maintain an organized store and job site.

• Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors, group leaders, and team members to coordinate routes, tasks, and site schedules.

• Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow transport regulations and site safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free working environment for everyone.

• General Labor: Perform any general work, maintenance tasks, or heavy lifting assigned by supervisors as needed.

• Flexible Scheduling: Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts and weekends, to align with event setup and dismantling timelines.

Job Requirements & Required Skills

• GDL License: MUST possess a valid Malaysian driving license.

• Physical Stamina: Excellent physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor tasks and lift heavy items daily.

• Adaptability & Flexibility: Highly flexible and able to adapt to changing work demands and shifting venue locations.

• Team Player: Ability to take direction well from site supervisors and work efficiently within a team environment.

• Overtime Readiness: Willingness to work overtime (OT) when tight event timelines require it. (Eligible for OT pay).

• Experience Level: Candidates with no prior experience in the event production industry are welcome to apply; on-the-job training for structure assembly will be provided.
