Job summary

JIT EXPRESS SERVICES SDN BHD in Penang seeks an experienced Fleet Operations Supervisor to oversee haulage trucks, ensuring timely, cost‑efficient deliveries and high service quality across the network.

You will plan routes, monitor performance, coordinate with drivers and customers, manage fleet maintenance, and uphold safety and regulatory standards to support reliable operations and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule truck delivery routes, monitor deliveries and ensure timely distribution of goods.
• Coordinate with drivers, customers, and departments to ensure smooth daily delivery operations.
• Monitor truck utilization, delivery performance, fuel consumption and transportation costs.
• Ensure delivery orders and transport documents are properly prepared and maintained.
• Research and recommend cost-effective transportation methods and practices.
• Conduct regular safety and goods-handling briefings for drivers.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations and applicable legislation.
• Monitor GPS and track truck movements for operational efficiency and safety.
• Oversee investigations into customer complaints and delivery issues and resolve them.
• Arrange repairs and routine maintenance of trucks to ensure fleet reliability.
• Monitor driver attendance, manpower allocation and daily work assignments.
• Report operational issues and incidents to Head of Operations.
• Promote safe work practices through safety audits and meetings.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as required by Management.

• Ensure the achievement of departmental budgets and profit targets for the haulage Truck Division.
• Plan and schedule truck delivery routes, monitor deliveries, and ensure timely and efficient distribution of goods to customers.
• Coordinate with drivers, customers, and relevant departments to ensure smooth daily delivery operations.
• Monitor truck utilization, delivery performance, fuel consumption, and transportation costs.
• Ensure all delivery orders, consignment notes, and transportation documents are properly prepared and maintained.
• Research and recommend cost-effective transportation methods and operational practices.
• Conduct regular safety and goods-handling briefings for drivers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and applicable legislation.
• Monitor GPS and track truck movements to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and timely.
• Oversee investigations into customer complaints, delivery issues, and service-related matters, ensuring appropriate resolutions.
• Arrange repairs and routine maintenance of trucks to ensure fleet reliability and operational readiness.
• Monitor and manage driver attendance, manpower allocation, and daily work assignments.
• Report operational issues, delivery disruptions, and significant incidents directly to the Head of Operations.
• Promote safe work practices by conducting safety audits and participating in company safety meetings.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties and assignments as required by Management.
