Job summary

GMEELAN in Malaysia seeks a creative Content Director to lead short-form video strategy, planning, scripting, and on-set direction for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook Reels. You will drive traffic to live streams and boost exposure and conversions.

You will collaborate with Editors, Live Ops, and Talent BD, track metrics like views, engagement, and live room entry rate, and optimize ROI through ongoing testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in video direction, content planning, social media, or live commerce.
• Deep understanding of TikTok logic, including the First 3 Seconds hook and conversion-driven storytelling.
• Strong copywriting and scripting for local audiences.

Responsibilities

• Content Strategy & Planning: Lead ideation, scripting, storyboarding, and shooting plans for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook Reels.
• Live Stream Integration: Align content with live stream promotions, featured products, and host talking points to guide users into the live room.
• Market Research: Analyze audience preferences, trends, competitor strategies, and viral video structures to inform content creation.
• On-set Direction: Oversee filming, set design, props, product demonstration, talent coordination, and camera movement.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Editors, Live Ops, and Talent BD to ensure messaging and brand consistency.
• Performance Optimization: Track views, completion rate, engagement, clicks, and live room entry rate to optimize ROI.
