Job summary

IT Search in Kuala Lumpur is hiring a Linux Software Operations Engineer to build, release software and perform real-time health checks.

The role starts with 3–4 weeks onsite training from 8:00am local time, then hybrids on-site with weekend rotation due to trading and maintenance.

Candidates should have strong Linux (RHEL), Bash, and RHCE; trading apps experience a plus, Bachelor's in CS/IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related.
• Strong Linux (RHEL) experience in software product environments.
• RHCE certification is an added advantage.
• Proficient in bash utilities (awk, sed, grep, find, tar, gzip).
• Experience in low-latency trading applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Primary focus - Trading software application installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Secondary - Monitoring and alerting of hardware and network. Physical/Virtual server and network installation, configuration and troubleshooting.

Our client is establishing a new team in Kuala Lumpur and is hiring Linux Software Operations Engineer

This role is not a Network expert, but more of a talented software management person, who knows how to build and release Software and real time health checks

Initial training will be onsite for 3 to 4 weeks starting at 8:00am local time (professional working day), primarily Monday through Friday. After the training period, it will be hybrid working onsite and the Contractor is expected to work in a weekend rotation due to the nature of trading and maintenance schedules.
