Job summary

Fraser Place is seeking a Linen Room Attendant in Johor Bahru to manage linen and uniforms for the hotel. You will ensure secure storage, proper issuing, and inventory control while supporting the laundry workflow.

Applicants with 1-2 years in a similar role or fresh graduates looking to start in hotel operations are welcome. Work entails strict adherence to uniform standards and tidy linen areas.

Qualifications

• SPM qualification or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years of related experience in a similar industry.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Report for work in full uniform at least fifteen minutes before shift starts.
• Maintain responsibility for secure storage of all linen and uniform in the linen room.
• Sort, count, and route items from linen chute to laundry.
• Send clean linen to the maid’s pantry according to par stock.
• Control issuing and exchange of uniforms, F&B linen and bed linen.
• Ensure linen and towels are neatly arranged on shelves in pantry and linen room.
• Check soiled linen for stains and separate them for repair or disposal.
• Report damaged items to Executive Housekeeper and arrange repairs or replacement.
• Check quality of finished linen from laundry before hotel delivery.
• Keep accurate inventory of linen and uniforms received and disbursed.
• Maintain log books for new uniforms and laundry exchanges.
• Ensure all linen types are proportionately processed to hotel needs.
• Report losses or damages of linen and supplies to supervisor.
• Maintain Linen Room in clean and orderly condition.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper.

To maintain full responsibility for the issuance, maintenance and control of bedlinens, F&B Linen and uniforms.

Duties and responsibilities

• To report for work in full uniform at least fifteen minutes before start of shift.
• To maintain responsibility for the secure storage of all linen and uniform in the linen room.
• To sort out and count items coming from the linen chute before sending them to the laundry.
• To send all clean linen to the maid’s pantry according to par stock.
• To control the issuing and exchange of uniforms, F&B linen and bed linen.
• To ensure that the items from laundry are arranged neatly and properly on the shelves in the pantry and linen room.
• To check all soiled linen for any stain marks and separate them.
• Torn and damaged uniforms should be separated upon receiving before sending for repairs. If not possible to repair, report the item to the Executive Housekeeper so that appropriate action can be taken to solve the problem.
• To check on the quality of the finished clean linen from the laundry to the hotel.
• To keep accurate inventory of linen and uniforms received and disbursed.
• To keep log book for new uniforms purchased and for uniforms sent to and coming from the laundry.
• To ensure that all types of linen and towels are proportionately processed to the need of the hotel.
• To report to the Executive Housekeeper any loss or damage of linen and supplies.
• To maintain Linen Room in a clean and orderly manner.
• To carry out other job duties assigned by the Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper.

Qualifications, experience and skills

• Education: Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
• Experience: 1-2 of related years’ experience in similar industry.
