Job summary

MKS Instruments in Malaysia is seeking a Production Line Leader to oversee daily line operations, coordinate with the Production Supervisor, and drive assembly throughput while maintaining quality.

You will supervise, coach, and rotate tasks across Assemblers, ensure takt time adherence, and lead continuous improvement initiatives on quality, cost, and delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational training completed is preferred.
• 3+ years in electro-mechanical manufacturing with 1–2 years in senior roles.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools including 6S, line balancing, visual management, FIFO.
• Strong communication and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive shift targets to achieve daily output across all assembly workstations and manage assigned production shifts.
• Lead pre-shift briefings to assign tasks, review safety/ESD expectations, and set hourly/daily targets.
• Track hourly output against targets and address bottlenecks, material shortages, or tool downtime per 4M requirements.
• Audit assembler work against WI and SOP to ensure quality and correct assembly tasks.
