Job summary

PMW Lighting Sdn Bhd, part of PMW Group, is seeking a junior engineer to support lighting simulations, site lux testing and documentation. You will work with the Lighting Simulation & Product Development Engineer to gain hands-on experience in lighting projects and product development.

The role involves preparing DIALux simulations, performing site verifications, updating CAD drawings, and creating technical reports and documentation for tenders and projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in an engineering field.
• 1–3 years in lighting or electrical engineering preferred.
• Basic knowledge of lighting, photometry, lux levels, calculations and design.
• Familiarity with DIALux / DIALux evo is a plus.
• Basic CAD software knowledge for drawings.
• Ability to read technical drawings and datasheets.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing DIALux / DIALux evo simulations for tenders, proposals and projects.
• Attend customer/project sites for technical support and site verification.
• Assist with CAD drawing updates and technical drawings.
• Prepare technical reports, calculation sheets and project documentation.
• Assist in preparing technical documents for tenders and customer submissions.
• Assist with product testing, sample preparation and coordination with laboratories.
• Maintain simulation files, test reports and engineering documentation.
• Collect technical and product performance data.
• Support other engineering activities related to lighting projects.
