Job summary

AME Construction Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Lifting Supervisor to join our growing team in Malaysia. You will prepare and review lifting plans and supervise all lifting activities on site, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and crane operations.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Lifting Supervisor Competency certification and has at least 3 years of lifting experience. This role offers opportunities to support project teams and safety programs across industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Valid Lifting Supervisor Competency certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in lifting operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare / review lifting plan for lifting activities.
• Coordinate and supervise lifting activities in accordance with the lifting plan.
• Brief lifting team on the lifting plan, risk controls and safe lifting procedures.
• Ensure only registered crane operators, appointed riggers and signalmen participate in lifting operations.
• Ensure ground conditions and crane position are safe for lifting operations.
• Be present during all lifting operations and address unsafe conditions.
• Assist crane operator to conduct crane and lifting gear inspections and maintain reports.
• Assist project team on site logistics and traffic management.
• Assist safety department with machinery inspections and HSE programs.
• Provide full support to HSE department on lifting safety.
• Assist in DOSH inspections for crane fitness certificates.
• Handle any ad hoc duties assigned by management.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare / review lifting plan for lifting activities
• Coordinating and supervising all lifting activities in accordance with the lifting plan.
• Briefing all lifting team members on the lifting plan, risk control measure and safe lifting procedure before the commencement of any lifting operation.
• Ensuring that only registered crane operators, appointed riggers and appointed signalman to participate in any lifting operation involving the use of cranes (crawler, mobile and tower cranes).
• Ensuring that the ground conditions and crane position are safe for any lifting operation to be performed by cranes (crawler / mobile).
• Be present during all lifting operations and if unsafe conditions are reported to him, to take suitable measures to rectify the conditions so that the lifting operation can be conducted safely.
• Assist crane operator to conduct crane & lifting gears inspection & maintained inspection report
• Assist project team on site logistic plan & traffic management arrangement
• Assist safety department conduction machinery inspection, organizing HSE program (eg housekeeping, toolbox, daily site observation etc)
• Give full support to AMECSB HSE department on lifting safety.
• Assist in DOSH Inspection for any crane fitness certificate renewal
• Any ad hoc duties assigned by the management.

What We’re Looking For

• Possess valid Lifting Supervisor Competency certification.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in construction projects involving lifting operations
