Job summary

Guocera Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive engineer to monitor and ensure smooth operation of AGV/LGV systems across production areas at our Johor facilities. You will conduct start-up checks, respond to interruptions, and perform preventive maintenance on sensors, navigation systems, and batteries to keep production flowing.

The role requires a degree in Mechatronic, Electrical & Electronic, or Automation Engineering, with 1-3 years of hands-on experience in automation, robotics, or manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 1-3 years of experience in AGV/LGV systems, automation, robotics, or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of PLC, sensors, control systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with SCADA, industrial communication protocols, or automated systems is an added advantage.
• Able to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willing to work shifts and support breakdown or emergencies when required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure smooth operation of AGV/LGV systems across production areas.
• Perform start-up checks and respond to system interruptions, blockages, or communication failures.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, inspections, and calibration of sensors, navigation systems, batteries, and related components.
• Support software updates, system configuration changes, and automation improvement projects.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for technical support and system enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and participate in risk assessment activities.
• Maintain maintenance records, incident logs, and system performance reports.
