Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking an EPCC lawyer for a manufacturing company that has acquired a solar energy business. You will draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts and operational documents to ensure compliance with current laws and internal policies.

You will provide strategic risk management, monitor evolving regulations in renewable energy and construction, engage stakeholders, and oversee external counsel to ensure top-tier service. Bachelor degree and 7 years PQE are required.

Qualifications

• 7 years PQE and admission as Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
• Direct, strong expertise in sustainable/renewable energy, solar, EPCC, and construction.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements and operational documents.
• Provide strategic risk management and proactive legal counsel to protect the company’s interests.
• Monitor sector-specific regulations in agriculture, renewable energy, EPCC, and construction to ensure compliant guidance.
• Engage stakeholders and oversee external counsel to ensure top-tier service.
• Perform legal research and lead capacity-building sessions for business units to promote contract compliance.

• Contract Drafting and Negotiation
  Prepare, assess, and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements and operational documents (including marketing terms and conditions) to ensure strict compliance with current laws and internal company policies.
• Strategic Risk Management
  Identify potential legal vulnerabilities and deliver proactive, strategic counsel to protect the company’s interests while actively supporting and advancing its commercial and business objectives.
• Sector-Specific Regulatory Monitoring
  Continuously track evolving laws and regulatory changes within the agriculture, renewable energy, EPCC, and construction industries to ensure all legal guidance remains accurate, relevant, and compliant.
• Stakeholder Engagement and External Counsel Oversight
  Build collaborative, professional relationships with internal teams and external partners, while managing, coordinating, and evaluating the performance of outside legal firms to guarantee top-tier service.
• Legal Research and Internal Capacity Building
  Perform thorough legal analysis to provide actionable, well-founded recommendations, and lead educational awareness sessions for business units to promote contract compliance and strengthen overall legal understanding.
