• Experience in commercial, contractual and corporate law, with emphasis on real estate and in-house practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice to internal departments on commercial, corporate and operational matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate and finalize commercial contracts including sale/purchase and tenancy agreements, NDAs.
• Review property-related transactions, documentation and regulatory requirements.
• Identify legal and compliance risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Conduct legal research and monitor developments in Malaysian laws and regulations.
• Prepare and review legal correspondence, notices, memoranda and other legal documents.
• Liaise with external lawyers, regulatory authorities and other parties on transactions and disputes.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to provide practical legal support across commercial, contractual, corporate and property-related matters. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external legal counsel and relevant authorities, while supporting day-to-day legal operations and ensuring the organization’s interests are well protected.

What You'll Be Doing

Provide practical legal advice to internal departments on commercial, corporate, contractual and operational matters.

Draft, review, negotiate and finalize agreements including sale and purchase agreements, tenancy agreements, NDAs and other commercial contracts.

Review property-related transactions, documentation, applications and regulatory requirements.

Identify legal and compliance risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.

Conduct legal research and monitor developments in Malaysian laws and regulations.

Prepare and review legal correspondence, notices, memoranda, forms and other legal documentation.

Liaise with external lawyers, regulatory authorities, advisers and other parties on transactions, disputes and legal matters.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).

Experience in conveyancing, real estate, corporate/commercial practice or relevant in-house legal work.
