Responsibilities
  • Advising and reviewing loan documents, which includes facility agreements, security documents and other transaction documents, to ensure compliance with internal policies and risk management practices.
  • Advising, reviewing and negotiating changes to standard facility letters, board resolutions, and corporate guarantees to ensure that commercial objectives are achieved and internal approvals are obtained.
  • Assist the deals team and other stakeholders by carrying out transaction management role for loan transactions.
  • Reviewing and advising on non‑standard corporate authorisation documents of banking customers.
Requirements
  • Qualified lawyer with 3 to 4 years of post‑qualification experience in banking, project financing, or debt capital markets.
  • Excellent computer skills, in particular MS Office and Outlook.
  • Commercial and practical outlook.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships and rapport, demonstrating credibility.
  • Confident in communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and to take ownership of tasks, time and workload by prioritising and managing expectations.
  • Preferred: Exposure in drafting and negotiating loan agreements, security documents for syndicated and bilateral loans.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with APLMA documents.
