Job summary

SEGi University invites a Registered Pharmacist to join as a Clinical Lecturer in Malaysia. The role focuses on teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervising research and grants, and using the LMS to enhance learning outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in Pharmacy and have strong English communication, with prior teaching or tertiary education experience considered an advantage.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare undergraduate lesson plans, schemes of work, tutorials and assignments.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research activities and grants.
• Utilize LMS to maximize student learning.
• Prepare test/examination questions with marking schemes.
• Prepare/update portfolios for courses taught.
• Engage in research and knowledge transfer activities.
• Assist with programme accreditation processes and timetabling.

Clinical Pharmacy

Responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning

To prepare undergraduate lesson plans, schemes of work, tutorials, assignments and class discussions.

To supervise undergraduate & postgraduate students on research activities and grants.

To utilize the learning management system to maximize student learning.

To prepare test/examination questions together with appropriate marking scheme in a timely manner.

To prepare/update portfolio for every course taught.

Research

To undertake and contribute to research, conducting individual research or collaborating with others.

To conduct individual or collaborative scholarly projects.

To engage in knowledge generation, knowledge exchange and knowledge transfer activities.

To identify sources of funding and contribute to the process of securing funds for own research or scholarly projects.

Administration and other activities

Be responsible for quality, audit and other external assessments in own areas of responsibility.

Take responsibility for programme accreditation processes.

Ensure that operational processes such as timetabling, assessment and examinations are managed.

Take on administrative roles as deemed necessary from time to time.

Requirements:

Possess at least a Master’s Degree in Pharmacy majoring in Clinical Pharmacy/ Pharmaceutical Technology/ Biotechnologyand with aBasic Degree in Pharmacy.

Minimum 3 years of related working experience.

Good presentation skills with strong command in written and spoken English.

Registered with the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia or the relevant regulatory authority in the country of origin.

Those with relevant experience in tertiary education would be an added advantage.
