Job summary

Sunway Medical Centre is seeking passionate clinical pharmacists to join our team delivering high-quality patient care. Review prescriptions, participate in policy development, and help implement new clinical services within a modern hospital setting.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor of Pharmacy, be a registered pharmacist with ARC, and 3–4 years of hospital experience with strong clinical reasoning and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy recognized by the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia.
• Registered Pharmacist with a valid ARC.
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of hospital pharmacy practice with clinical experience.
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge, judgment, and patient care focus.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions and regimens for safe, effective medicine use.
• Contribute to policies, procedures for safe clinical practice.
• Help develop new clinical services, guidelines, pathways.
• Provide guidance to Pharmacy Technicians and PRPs.
• Ensure SOP compliance and quality medication safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review prescriptions and medication regimens to ensure the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medicines.
• Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to safe clinical practice.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new clinical services, guidelines, protocols and clinical pathways.
• Ensure all pharmacy procedures are in accordance with legal and hospital Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide guidance to Pharmacy Technicians (PTs) and Provisionally Registered Pharmacists (PRPs).

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy recognized by the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia.
• Registered Pharmacist with a valid Annual Retention Certificate (ARC).
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of hospital pharmacy practice, with relevant clinical pharmacy experience.
• Ability to demonstrate good clinical pharmacy knowledge skills, clinical reasoning and judgement when assessing patient’s pharmaceutical needs.
• Passionate and possesses the desire to continually improve knowledge & clinical skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
