Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad in Penang seeks a Pharmacy Educator to lead and supervise PNC students, Pharmacy Tutor and college staff, aligning with predefined objectives and professional standards. The role involves teaching all subjects as per the curriculum, planning Master Planner activities, coordinating learning visits and supervising clinical assessments.

Applicants must be a Registered Pharmacy Educator with ≥5 years post-registration experience, hold a Bachelor in Pharmacy with teaching

Qualifications

• Willingness to work after office hours/weekends/public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to effective student learning through mentor/mentee system, counselling and tutorials.

Job Description:

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: i) Responsible and accountable to Principal and Operation Manager. ii) Responsible to teach, guide and supervise PNC students, Pharmacy Tutor and new college personnel according to predetermined set of objectives. iii) Responsible to establish close working relationship with staff members of the unit and other department staff so as to create a conducive working environment and for effective teaching learning. iv) Responsible for effective teaching to achieve the Vision, Mission and Objectives of Puteri Nursing College. v) Demonstrate knowledge of principles, methods and techniques of performing high standard of pharmacy and health care practice with good work ethics and professionalism.

ACADEMIC

1. 1. Lecturer can be assigned to be in charge of a group of students or assigned to be in charge of a semester.
2. 2. Carry out all the teaching hours that have been assigned.
3. 3. Teach all relevant subjects in the programmes that have been assigned in accordance with curriculum and teachers guide using varying teaching methodology.
4. 4. Plan and coordinate the students learning in Master Planner.
5. 5. Ensuring all learning activities are being carried out according to Master Plan.
6. 6. Planning and coordinating study visits for students applicable to the learning needs.
7. 7. Planning and coordinating students’ practical experiences.
8. 8. Supervising and conduct clinical assessment of students.
9. 9. Providing support to effective student learning through mentor/mentee system, counselling and tutorials.

Job Requirement:

• Registered Pharmacy Educator with at least 5 years current post registration experience and diversity in clinical experience and teaching.
• Valid license to practice as a Pharmacy.
• Holds Bachelor in Pharmacy and teaching qualification.
• Evidence of current and on going education Willingness to work after office hours/weekends/public holidays when required.

• Ability to improve knowledge and skills in teaching and supervision.
