Job summary

Coherent Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Lean Manufacturing professional to establish, review, and implement Lean methodologies to improve throughput and reduce costs. You will develop training packages and lead core Lean projects such as 6S, Kaizen, and TPM, while training cross-functional teams and driving productivity improvements.

The role requires strong analytical skills, project management, and ISO compliance awareness.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years' experience in Lean work when graduate in engineering
• Analytical and able to interact at all levels
• Good project management skills and knowledge
• Must be able to prepare training materials and conduct Lean training
• Independent, committed, positive and good leadership quality

Responsibilities

• Establish, review, implement and maintain Lean methodologies to increase throughput and reduce operating cost.

Job description

Establish, review, implement and maintain Lean methodologies to increase throughput, reduce excess inventory and reduce operating cost.

Understanding 8 LEAN Waste (D.O.W.N.T.I.M.E.) Defects, Overproduction, Waiting, Non-Utilize Talent, Transportation, Inventory, Motion& Extra Processing). Able to identify & minimize the waste.

Do ' whatever it takes' to meet or exceed our customers' expectation in compliance with the Quality Policy.

Establish and maintain Lean programs. Develop/review/maintain Lean training package. Develop/maintain and implement Lean core projects like 6S, Kaizen activity, TPM etc.

Provide training for cross funtional team on Lean Manufacturing methodologies.

Participate in productivity improvement and costs savings projects.

To stay up to date on latest developments and trends in Lean Manufacturing methodologies.

Derive Continual Improvement program & activity among SGAs & Kaizen team.

Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of task.

Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.

Ensure compliance to Safety, ESD, Clean room and Housekeeping guidelines.

Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution on project implementation. All Improvement projects must come with feasibility study & Pilot run.

Passionate towards Kaizen (i.e. continuous Improvements activity) (Enthusiasm).

Possess at least Six Sigma Green BELT certification. Green BELT training compulsory.

Must be a Gemba-Gembutsu-Genjitsu which means (The Shop Floor- The Actual Product-The Fact) experts (Accountability).

In depth knowledge on Value Stream Mapping (VSM). Able to plot VSM by process steps and improvise in terms of Process Time, Reduce 8 LEAN waste, Process Integration & Ultimately LEAD Time reduction.

Work close with Industrial Engineering (IE) team to Identify bottle neck process & tackle the constraint.

Core task to calculate project cost saving that impact the reduction in operation cost by Product BOM. Productivity Improvement Excellence (PIE)

Work closely with finance team on project cost saving declaration, acceptance & approval process.

Possess good interpersonal skills to work with plantwide cross functional team (Collaboration).

Good training skills; able to conduct training for DLs, Non-exempt & Exempt staff. Preferably with Train The Trainer (TTT) certification. (Respect).

Well-versed with 6S, 7QC Tools, FMEA, 8 LEAN Waste, Root Cause Analysis, KANBAN, Poka Yoke, TAKT Time, JIT, SMART, TPM, OEE, PDCA, Process mapping & PMP (Integrity).

Performing any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time
