Job summary

Air Liquide is seeking a Senior Turbo Expander Skid Design Engineer in Malaysia to lead the design, integration and packaging of turbo expander skid systems for cryogenic and industrial gas applications.

The role requires 13+ years of experience in high-speed rotating equipment, proficiency in 3D CAD (Aveva/PDMS, SolidWorks) and structural analysis, and knowledge of API/ASME standards. Collaborate across disciplines and drive modular solutions with safety and quality as a priority.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 13+ years in design and integration of high-speed rotating equipment.
• Proven track record delivering modular skid packages from concept to fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of API 617, API 614, ASME B31.3, ASME VIII.
• Experience with 3D CAD and structural analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete skid layouts for turbo expanders and related systems.
• Perform structural analysis for lifting, transit, seismic loads.
• Create detailed drawings, BOMs, PFDs and specs for modular skid assemblies.
• Lead design documentation submissions and FAT/test coordination.
• Coordinate with process, instrumentation, electrical disciplines and ensure safety standards.
