Job summary

Jabil in Penang, Malaysia, seeks Direct Test Engineers I & II to design, develop and maintain test procedures, tester hardware and software for electronic circuit board production, driving efficiency and quality.

You will lead recruitment, coach engineers, manage performance, organize training, and collaborate with management to meet cost and schedule targets, ensuring safe and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with 5–10 years of experience.
• Proven ability to recruit, interview and develop Test Engineers.
• Strong leadership, coaching and performance-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and recruit Test Engineers I & II; interview candidates.
• Coach and mentor team members to deliver excellence.
• Set and monitor measurable goals; drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate training curricula and staff development.
• Communicate effectively with the Workcell and BU managers.
• Define and implement test strategies and cost-conscious processes.
• Provide technical guidance; ensure safety and compliance.
