Job summary

JAC Recruitment in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Systems Integrator to join its R&D team in Penang. You will act as the technical lead for integrating laboratory and medical device systems from concept to commercialization, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineers.

Ideal candidates will have 6+ years in instrument development, system integration, and a strong foundation in regulatory environments, with excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, software, CS or systems engineering.
• 6+ years in instrument development or system integration.
• Experience in medical devices, life sciences or regulated environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Clear communication of complex technical information.
• Experience with design reviews and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead system integration activities across all phases of product development.
• Integrate modules and subsystems into instrument platforms while meeting regulatory requirements.
• Support the analysis, definition, and refinement of product requirements and specifications.
• Contribute to product architecture, system concepts, and technical solution development.
• Develop functional models, prototypes, and complete systems before pilot production.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies and proof-of-concept evaluations.
• Design, execute, and document development, integration, and verification testing activities.
• Define test methodologies, acceptance criteria, and measurement approaches.
• Create and maintain engineering test documentation and technical reports.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause investigations involving hardware and software systems.
• Assess technical risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Support project teams in achieving milestones and objectives.
• Operate and maintain laboratory and measurement equipment used during development.
• Participate in design reviews, technical assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and coach engineers to promote knowledge sharing.
