Job summary

Boston Scientific in Penang seeks an Electronics and Systems Software Engineer to design and develop software for new manufacturing and test equipment used in medical devices. You will validate and support complex control systems, interfacing with motion controllers, vision systems, and databases, while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires strong programming skills, knowledge of automation, and experience with AB PLCs and Aerotech motion control.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field is required.
Strong knowledge of automation systems, PC/PLC-based controls, motion control, and vision systems.
Experience with AB PLCs and Aerotech motion control is preferred.

Responsibilities

Designs and develops software for new equipment and updates existing software.
Maintain and validate hardware/software per BSIL procedures and 21 CFR Part 11 where applicable.
Provide software support to Equipment Design, Maintenance, and Manufacturing groups.
Develop machine control software and integrate with controllers, vision systems, and instrumentation.
Prepare software design specs and documentation for equipment and systems.
Take ownership of PC/Database/SCADA systems on site and drive value improvement projects.
