Job summary

Celestica Inc. in Kulim, Malaysia, seeks a Production Technical Operator 4 to perform manual assembly, operate automated equipment, hand solder, and inspect products on a fast-paced production line.

You will set up machines, calibrate tools, perform first-line maintenance, recognize process issues, and communicate effectively with internal and external customers to keep production on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) with additional coursework or experience.
• Educational requirements may vary by geography.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual assembly, operation of automated assembly equipment, hand soldering, operation of automated test equipment, and inspection and repair of products.
• Sets up machines and lines, performs feeder repairs and first-line maintenance.
• Must possess site-defined certifications as defined by site operations.
• Deep knowledge of board assembly, product process flow, soldering specifications and SMT processing systems.
• Ability to set up, operate, calibrate and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools.
• Identify and address problems in the assembly process or with assembly components.
• Communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
• Lead the team to high quality production within tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of test fixturing and PC applications (Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, Documentation control).
• Advanced manufacturing systems knowledge.
