Job summary

Tecomet, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer in Penang, Malaysia to develop and optimize programs for multi-axis milling, turning, and EDM operations.

You will interpret CAD/CAM data, create robust NC code, and collaborate with NPI and engineering teams to improve processes and tooling solutions. The role requires hands-on expertise with G-code and macro programming, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality machined components across diverse equipment

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years CNC programming experience in a precision machining environment.
• Lean manufacturing training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains CNC programs for multi-axis machines.
• Develops setup documentation for operators and provides hands-on shop floor support.
• Collaborates with NPI to develop quotes and new production processes.
• Provides technical input during DFM and machining solution development.
• Works with engineers to validate processes and improve productivity.
• Liaises with vendors to source technology for new and legacy operations.
• Supports continuous improvement and problem-solving across the shop.
