Job summary

Test Tooling Solutions Group in Malaysia is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to analyze drawings and set up machine parameters for precision parts. You will prepare Mastercam programs, verify against drawings, and develop work holding and tooling strategies to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 4 years of CNC programming experience, proficiency in CAD/CAM and Mastercam, and understands GD&T.

Qualifications

• SPM/STPM/Diploma in Precision Machining Technology or equivalent.
• 4 years’ experience writing CNC programs in a machining environment.
• Proficient in CAD, CAM and MasterCam.
• Capable of programming own work on MasterCam with close tolerances.
• Know how to operate CNC Drilling/Milling machines.
• Understand and use inspection and measurement tools.
• GD&T knowledge is a plus.
• Experience as a Machinist is preferred.
• Able to work well in a team and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, sketches and design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, machine speeds and feed rate
• Prepare CNC programming with Mastercam software, monitoring CNC programs and ensure accuracy of all instructions through comparison with drawing and design
• Develop work holding and select cutting tools
• Create and compile necessary documents to aid setting up and operation of machines, including instruction sheets on cutter tools setup
• Revise programs to eliminate errors, and retest programs to check that problems have been solved
• Observe machines on trial runs or conduct computer simulations to ensure that programs and machinery will function properly and produce items that meet specifications
• May require to machine components for first articles or production
• Covering duties of colleagues in the same department when necessary
• Ensure production compliance with the Company's Procedures, ISO 9001, Safety and 5S requirements
• Carry out any other reasonable duties or responsibilities as and when assigned by the Superior/Management.
