Job summary

ZTE Malaysia is seeking a senior microwave transmission planning leader to guide a team of engineers, allocate resources, and drive the design of backbone and access links to support 5G deployment and enterprise connectivity.

You will oversee technical analyses, forecasting, and capacity planning, while coordinating with diverse teams to ensure timely delivery and high network reliability. Strong leadership and vendor management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree as stated in the requirements.
• Minimum 8 years in microwave transmission planning or related fields.
• Experience leading teams and managing vendors is essential.
• Ability to travel within Malaysia and regionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor transmission planning engineers and allocate resources.
• Design backbone, aggregation, and access microwave links for expansion.
• Oversee LoS verification, path profiling, link budgeting, and frequency planning.
• Monitor utilization, forecast growth, and plan upgrades for QoS and latency.
• Assess microwave products from multiple vendors and drive migrations.
• Manage frequency allocation, licensing, and interference mitigation.
• Coordinate with rollout, RF, IP/MPLS, and operations teams for delivery.
• Interface with customers, present strategies, and align plans with objectives.
• Establish SOPs and automated workflows to improve efficiency.
