Aurecon is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead building services projects, including data centre design, from scoping to handover. You will interact with clients, prepare technical reports, and mentor junior engineers, driving energy-efficient, innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8–10 years of related experience in buildings services.
• 2–3 years in data centre design or related is preferred.
• Strong background in building mechanical design within a consulting environment is advantageous.
• Interest in energy-efficient and sustainable projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering projects from scoping through detailed design and commissioning and handover, including specs, reports and estimates.
• Assist in tender preparation and client negotiations to achieve profitable objectives.
• Engage with clients and colleagues to deliver successful outcomes and contribute to business development.
• Provide expert advice on feasibility studies, design reviews, and troubleshooting on engineering projects.
• Develop and analyze mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting to deliver on time and within budget.
• Build strong client relationships and provide tailored solutions.
