Job summary

Persistent Ltd. is seeking a Lead Java Developer with Java, hands-on experience with Spring Boot, AWS, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code to join our Malaysia team.

The role requires 9 to 12 years of experience, full-time on-site at the Petaling Jaya office, and eligibility to work in Malaysia; a strong senior engineering background is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Senior Software Engineer or Senior Developer.
• Hands-on expertise in Java development, AWS, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and related technologies.
• Legally eligible to work in Malaysia.
• Able to work full-time on-site at the Petaling Jaya office.

Responsibilities

• Lead Java development initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
• Drive end-to-end software delivery leveraging Java, Spring Boot, AWS and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with local work eligibility and on-site presence requirements.
