Job summary

Penguin Solutions in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Lead Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to partner with Corporate IT, vendors, and regional teams to design, implement, and support secure, scalable IT environments.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead cross-functional projects, and drive continuous improvement across endpoints, networks, servers, storage, cloud, and collaboration tools while aligning with security standards and enterprise architecture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience with technical leadership on complex initiatives.
• Ability to coordinate work of junior engineers and cross-functional teams without direct supervision.
• Strong customer-focused mindset and excellent communication with business leaders and vendors.
• Self-starter who can prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, multi-technology environment.
• Advanced proficiency supporting Windows and macOS desktop clients.
• Expertise with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta, and endpoint management.
• Experience using SCCM Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune for device management.
• Experience with enterprise PC hardware, peripherals, and hybrid workplace solutions.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, switching/routing) for troubleshooting.
• Experience with server virtualization, storage, backup solutions, and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary IT Infrastructure technical lead for the site, ensuring reliable, secure, scalable services.
• Coordinate infrastructure deployments including endpoints, networking, servers, storage, and cloud services.
• Provide technical leadership during incidents, maintenance, and critical events; drive resolutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical projects with cross-functional teams.
• Manage vendor relationships and third-party technical resources to ensure delivery quality.
• Participate in IT audits and maintain documentation for architecture, DR, and operations.
