Job summary

TERAS IMPIANA SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to lead the servicing team and perform diesel generator maintenance, primarily at data centres.

You will oversee PM/CM, diagnose faults, and coordinate with data centre operations to ensure safe, on-schedule work. The role requires strong hands-on genset experience, ability to interpret schematics, and leadership capabilities to guide technicians and ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience leading a servicing or maintenance team.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, gensets and control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and manuals.
• Experience maintaining gensets in data centres or critical facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the servicing team, assign tasks and provide technical guidance to ensure quality and safety.
• Plan and perform scheduled PM and CM on diesel generator sets and related systems.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and control faults, including alarms and frequency issues.
• Inspect and service engines, alternators, batteries and cooling systems.
• Troubleshoot genset controllers, control wiring and protection systems.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with data centre operations teams and follow permit-to-work procedures.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance checklists and fault findings.
