Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Front End Lead Developer to head the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of web and mobile applications. You will provide technical leadership to the development team, collaborating with UI/UX designers and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, high-performing applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science/IT or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in software development, IT project consultancy, or similar technical environment.
• Experience leading software development/implementation teams.
• Strong hands-on experience in web/mobile application development.
• Proficiency in Node.js, Next.js, React.js, .NET or React Native.
• Experience developing applications for Android and iOS platforms is a plus.
• Good knowledge of REST APIs and JSON.
• Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Front End Lead Developer to lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of web and mobile applications. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership to the development team, collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and business stakeholders, and ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, high-performing, and maintainable applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the development of web and mobile front-end applications.
• Develop and maintain applications using Node.js / Next.js / React.js or Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Develop next-generation mobile applications using React Native, including the enhancement, maintenance, and support of existing applications.
• Develop and integrate mobile enterprise applications for Android and iOS using hybrid and/or native platforms.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate design mock-ups, wireframes, and user requirements into functional and user-friendly applications.
• Design and implement well-structured and high-performing APIs to support front-end applications.
• Work with database design, queries, and reporting using Microsoft SQL Server and/or MySQL.
• Develop and maintain applications deployed on cloud-based infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Establish, maintain, and improve Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes for web and mobile applications.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and strategic direction to the implementation and development team.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree or Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software development, IT project consultancy, system implementation, or a similar technical environment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a vendor/IT consultancy environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in web and/or mobile application development.
• Experience in leading or providing technical direction to software development/implementation teams.
• Strong proficiency in one or more of the following: Node.js, Next.js, React.js, Microsoft .NET, or React Native.
• Experience developing applications for Android and iOS platforms.
• Good knowledge of REST APIs and JSON.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or MySQL.
