Job summary

The Australian International School Malaysia (AISM) is seeking an EAL / Language Acquisition Teacher to lead targeted English language development across the curriculum. You will collaborate with Mathematics, Science, Language and Literature, and Humanities teachers to embed language skills throughout the AEP framework.

You will deliver dedicated EAL lessons, co-plan with content-area colleagues, act as Staff Mentor for a designated group of students, and contribute to ongoing programme

Qualifications

• Degree in TESOL or related field with teaching qualification.
• Minimum three years' EAL/ESL teaching experience.
• Expertise in second language acquisition theory and practice.
• Experience with EAL assessment frameworks (e.g. WIDA, SLATE, Cambridge English).
• Experience in international school environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Deliver EAL lessons and co-teach with content-area teachers.
• Assess and monitor students' English language proficiency.
• Maintain records and provide weekly progress updates.
• Support staff mentor program for assigned students.
• Integrate language development across all subject areas.
