Job summary

ams OSRAM is seeking a data analytics professional to lead algorithm development for wafer map analytics in collaboration with the German data science team. You will identify and implement data science use cases to support R&D of optoelectronic devices, and prepare data with IT/data engineering support.

Role requires a Ph.D./Master’s/Bachelor’s in related fields with at least 3 years of industrial experience, strong statistical and programming skills (Python, Matlab), and excellent

Qualifications

• Ph.D./Masters/Bachelors degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent with minimum 3 years of relevant industrial experience.
• Highly proficient in statistical & analytic skills.
• In-depth experience in programming languages (Python, Matlab, etc)
• Detailed & strong analytical thinking with excellent communication skills.
• Understanding in semiconductor technologies will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own algorithm development and deployment of sophisticated wafer map analytics software for local solutions in close collaboration with German data science team.
• Identification & implementation of data science use cases, to support the R&D of optoelectronic devices.
• Data preparation with support of data engineering team in IT.
• Apply statistical methods or tools, to gain insights and to prepare data for use in predictive & prescriptive modeling.
• Build models, to forecast/ predict and thus solve business problems.
• Collaboration with R&D, to support a smooth ramp-up of new optoelectronic technologies via data analytics.
