Job summary

ams OSRAM seeks an experienced professional to design, realize and evaluate AlInGaN semiconductor chips in a role focused on high-performance LEDs. You will work closely with process development and manufacturing in global teams to develop novel or optimized fabrication flows.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in the semiconductor industry, deep knowledge of Nitride LEDs and device physics, and strong analytical and communication skills. German language skills are a plus, and English is essential.

Qualifications

  • Degree or higher in physics, optics, electrical engineering or materials science.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Solid understanding of wafer fabrication processing techniques and tools.
  • Deep knowledge of Nitride LEDs and device physics.
  • Broad experience in semiconductor frontend processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, realize, and evaluate AlInGaN based semiconductor chips.
  • Focus on innovative approaches for high performance and high current LEDs.
  • Develop novel or optimized process flows for chip manufacturing with global teams.
  • Solve complex problems in design and process in a sustainable, systematic way.
  • Analyze interactions between chip design and process flows.

Job description

  • Designing, realization and evaluation of AlInGaN based semiconductor chips
  • Special focus on innovative approaches towards high performance/high current LEDs
  • Development of novel or optimized process flows for chip manufacturing in strong cooperation with process development and manufacturing in global teams
  • Solving complex problems in design and process in a sustainable and systematic way
  • Deeply analyze and understand interactions between chip design and processes flow
  • Degree/Masters/PhD in physics, optics, electrical engineering, material science or a related field
  • Professional experience in semiconductor industry > 5 years
  • Physical understanding of wafer fabrication processing techniques and tools
  • Profound knowledge in the field of Nitride LEDs and device physics
  • Broad experience in semiconductor frontend processes
  • High level of problem-solving competence, analytical thinking and creativity
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Full professional English proficiency; intermediate German language skills preferred
