Job summary

StarHub is seeking an experienced Data Stewardship Lead to drive data quality and trust across the C360 data platform. You will implement automated quality checks, maintain catalog integrity, and partner with Data Engineering, BI, and business owners to translate definitions into executable controls.

This hands-on role combines stewardship with engineering depth, leveraging AI-enabled workflows to improve data reliability while avoiding pure governance activities.

Qualifications

• 5–9+ years of experience in data stewardship, data quality, analytics operations, data governance with technical depth.
• Strong ability to translate business definitions into executable quality and trust controls.
• Experience implementing or operating data quality frameworks, scorecards, or metadata/catalog processes.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Airflow, and related tooling.
• Ability to analyse data distributions, drift, and defect recurrence to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead data stewardship across priority C360 datasets and drive ownership, trust status, and quality controls.
• Design, implement and improve automated data quality checks, remediation workflows, and metadata governance.
• Maintain data catalog hygiene, glossary alignment, ownership metadata, and trusted descriptions.
• Analyse data patterns and defects to identify root causes and control gaps.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, BI, and business owners to translate requirements into executable controls.
• Operate stewardship workflows across domains, setting standards and coaching stewards.
• Develop practical playbooks and templates to reduce manual toil and improve auditability.
