Job summary

Lead Data Quality Steward role based in Petaling Jaya focusing on data quality controls, catalog integrity, and trusted metadata across the DXPC360 Data Platform. The role blends stewardship, analytics, and engineering to deliver measurable, sustainable data quality for self-service analytics.

You will implement DQ automation, collaborate with Data Engineering and Governance teams, and drive issue remediation, lineage, and certification across priority datasets, not merely policy work.

Qualifications

• 5–9+ years of experience in data stewardship and data quality.
• Hands-on engineering depth with SQL, Python, and Snowflake.
• Experience implementing DQ frameworks, scorecards, or metadata/catalog processes.
• Strong collaboration with Data Engineering, BI, and governance teams.
• Ability to translate business definitions into executable quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve automated data quality rules and remediation workflows.
• Maintain datacatalog hygiene and trust metadata for priority datasets.
• Analyze data patterns, defects, and root causes to drive improvements.
• Partner with Data Engineering to embed checks into production pipelines.
• Coach stewards and run the stewardship operating model across domains.
