Job summary

BP plc in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is seeking a Core Finance Analyst to independently deliver Core Finance activities with accuracy, control and sound judgment within an agile pool. You will produce management information, support valuation reviews, and help implement new commercial activity from assessment to handover into sustainable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, economics, business, engineering, data or related field.
• 6–7 years of relevant experience in commodity trading finance, valuation control, management information, commercial or new activity delivery, project delivery, operational improvement or a comparable analytical environment.
• Experience with physical or financial commodity valuations, trading and reporting data, functional assurance, business implementation, improvement in execution, automation, agile delivery or global service models.
• No specific licence or certification is required. Relevant finance, accounting, project management, data or change qualifications are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality management information and performance analysis with data validation.
• Perform valuation reviews for assigned portfolios with appropriate independence.
• Support new commercial activity from assessment through implementation by coordinating assigned Finance inputs and handover into BAU processes.
• Lead defined improvement initiatives using structured project delivery, process redesign, automation and change management.
