Job summary

bp in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Core Finance Analyst to deliver high-quality management information, valuations and data controls for the ST&S Finance & Risk function. You will work across portfolios and initiatives, supporting new activities and driving continuous improvement within an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, economics, business, engineering, data or related field.
• Experience in commodity trading finance, valuation control, management information, commercial or new activity delivery, project delivery, process improvement or analytical environments.
• Experience with physical or financial commodity valuations, trading and reporting data, functional assurance, business implementation, process improvement, automation or agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Independently produce, validate and explain management information and performance analysis, investigating material movements, data issues and valuation differences.
• Perform valuation review activities for assigned portfolios, assessing input data, curves, models and methodologies, and support well-evidenced valuations.
• Support new commercial activity from assessment through implementation by coordinating Finance inputs and maintaining delivery plans.
• Lead defined improvement initiatives within scope, using project delivery, process redesign and change management to automate or simplify work.
• Own assigned processes end-to-end, maintain documentation and adapt across Core Finance activities as needed.
• Collaborate with Commercial Finance, Controllership, Finance & Risk Advisory, Front Office, technology and service-delivery teams to resolve data, valuation and process issues.
