Lead Construction Manager – High-Rise Projects

Job summary

Pekah Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned site construction professional to manage and oversee day-to-day activities on our high-rise projects in Sabah. You will ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with approved drawings and specifications.

You will coordinate contractors and site personnel, monitor progress, review drawings, ensure compliance with contracts, regulations and HSE, conduct inspections, and document progress while liaising with clients and authorities to resolve

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in construction, with high-rise project exposure.
• Proficient in project management software and MS Office suite.
• Good knowledge of construction processes, quality control, safety regulations, and project coordination.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in BM and English.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee day-to-day site construction activities safely and efficiently according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Monitor project progress, construction schedules, manpower, materials, equipment, and site resources.
• Review construction drawings and technical specifications, and resolve site issues, queries, and discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, statutory regulations, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, quality, and contractor performance.
• Identify project risks, delays, and construction issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, RFIs, variation orders, permits, and inspection records.
• Participate in project coordination and site meetings, liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and authorities.
